Looking for a fun family activity? Quincy Art Center with the Family Dinner Project wants to give you the tools to have a creative family night! You will receive a FREE art kit complete with a mug, bowl, or plate and paint supplies to decorate them. In addition to those supplies, you will also receive a list of conversation starters to encourage meaningful connections while working on your family project!

How it works:

You can choose one of the following -

Just for Decoration: A kit complete with paint and a pottery item (mug, bowl, or plate) that will not be safe to eat or drink off of. This kit will not require a follow-up trip to The Art Center to have your item fired.

Ready for Dinner: A kit with paint and a pottery item that has been glazed (mug, bowl, or plate) that will need to be returned to the The Art Center to be fired in the kiln. Once it has been completed, you will be notified so it can be picked up. It will then be safe to use for dining.

Kits are limited to ONE per family.

After you have reserved your kit, we will email you when your kit is ready to pick up at The Art Center! If you have any questions or want to check on the status of your kit, please call The Art Center at 217-223-5900 or email Elizabeth Swick at

Kits are available while supplies last!

Funding for this project was provided by the Tracy Family Foundation in partnership with The Family Dinner Project.
